Who is DJM? DJM is like a big family – everyone looks out for & supports each other. DJM believes in a holistic approach to living in the UK offering support in all areas of our teacher’s life & work. We know with this level and type of support people will be a more effective teachers and get the best out of their UK experience. 
How does DJM work? DJM works to build inter dependant connections between the teacher, the school and DJM. At DJM, we spend a lot of time listening to each teacher’s teaching & life experiences. We care about how each individual teacher is handling their day-to-day life and duties and act on any information disclosed with sensitivity and understanding.  DJM organises frequent ‘get-togethers’ where teachers share their teaching & life experiences with other DJM teachers. These gatherings provide opportunities for DJM teachers to meet like-minded people, to share unique and challenging experiences about being a supply teacher & to have opportunities to form friendships & organise travel plans. Who does DJM recruit?  DJM has teachers from all walks of life, all age groups & varying years of experience. DJM works with individual teachers to support them to be the most resilient, resourceful, organised & confident supply ( relief ) teachers in South London. We believe these qualities are crucial to having a successful living and teaching experience in South London.

These sessions are also an ideal opportunity to meet Bronwyn (DJM’s London Managing Consultant). Bronwyn is the key person each teacher will be working with when they first come to London. These Information Sessions are ‘boutique’ sized ‘intimate’ sessions organised with only a limited number of places available in order to be able to maximise the opportunities for all participant to have all their questions answered & their needs met. ( see Are we visiting you? Section on web site) Once teachers have met Bronwyn in the Information sessions there are a variety of on-going communication opportunities provided. We believe that there is no such thing as a silly question and welcome email, phone calls and text messages to answer any of your queries or worries about picking up and moving to the opposite side of the earth. On top of all of that…  DJM organises bank accounts, potential ‘dossing’ in existing teacher houses, buddies to support with ‘learning the ropes’ about living in London and best of all lots of fun social events where teachers can meet like minded people, share teaching & holiday stories and make plans with others for future trips & events!
